Are You a Leader in Your Life?

I just returned from spending two weeks traveling with two friends in Ireland. We’ve known each other for over a decade but never traveled together. We went to celebrate our birthdays and to scout out the area to lead a women’s only empowerment retreat.

I love these two people. They love me.

All three of us are highly trained coaches. We even had a phone call prior to leaving to talk about our expectations, how we liked to travel, etc., In short, we did everything we could to have a great time, and we did!

Jen’s book, "When I Die, Take My Panties: Turning Your Darkest Moments into Your Greatest Gifts" chronicles that experience and shares Jen’s core message that everything that comes our way is meant to teach us about ourselves.

When she’s not crafting bestselling books or speaking to audiences around the country, you can find Jen eating Nutella by the spoonful in the nearest grocery aisle. www.jencoken.com

How to Un-exhaust Exhausted Parents

As a parent, you probably find yourself stressed out on a consistent basis. Although raising kids can be among the most rewarding and amazing experiences, it can sometimes feel like the most thankless, infuriating, and exhausting job on earth! But the good news is that busy families don’t necessarily have to be stressed ones. All it takes is a sprinkling of a little balance (and sanity) among the chaos.

Moving Day: Asking for Help From Friends

There’s no shame in asking for help.

There’s no shame in accepting help.

These two “facts” have saved me hours of suffering and offered me the chance to feel love and give love.

I’m having two friends come over today to help me pack.

I’m ambivalent about packing, which doesn’t mean I don’t know I need to pack or that I think I can avoid packing.

But I don’t want to examine every thing I own as I decide what will make it into a box and what will leave.
